Performance
I was looking for a cheap guitar for travel, jams, etc. I expected to have to settle for a plywood boxy guitar, with a minimal quality sound. I was wrong. The guitar has a solid top, is fairly loud, has some actual tone, and the trebles have some power.

Sound Quality
As mentioned, I expected a lot less for the price. It doesn’t sound too boxy at all, has some power, and doesn’t sound tinny. I have played a lot of plywood bodied/solid top guitars that had worse sound, and some cost lots more than this thing. I bought this at a store that had about 50 guitars in the room, and this sounded the best in the room. OK, I didn’t compare it to any guitars in the adjoining little room with Martins, etc. But they were in another financial class.

On casual inspection, this is a surprisingly well made ax for the money.
