The APX4A is a very nice thin body acoustic electric made by Yamaha. The APX4A is basically the same as the APX6A without gold hardware and a useless 2 extra frets. The APX4A is also about 100 bucks cheaper. A down side to this guitar is the high action (the farther up the neck the harder it is to push down the strings). An advantage is the very nice sound that it makes when plugged or unplugged. When unplugged it sounds a little quieter than a full body acoustic.

Sound Quality
The APX4A has a 3 band EQ with a mid selector which allows you to make the mid either higher-mid or lower-mid. The monaural piezo-electric pickups are extremely versatile. When practicing I barely even use an amp because it sounds nice without one. But to get that same sound I recommend an acoustic amp because it looses its crispness through my Peavey Classic 30.

Very sturdy. It hasn’t broken yet. The neck is attached firmly along with the bridge. The tuners don’t move unless you make them.
