Very nice action out of the box. Intonation was dead on. String height a bit higher than normal for me, but was easily adjusted with no buzz.

Pickups sound great clean, and absolutely growl when overdriven. Nice variety of tone between bridge and neck.

Construction
Seems to be very solid. Lighter than a Paul. The flamed maple is beautiful. The tuning gears seem a bit gritty, but they work, and it holds tune very well. Frets were dressed nicely, no snagging ends like a Squier. This model was a blem, has some light spots in the flame maple between the upper bouts, but you really have to look for it. It had a varnish glob on the back of the neck at the 6th string tuner, but it buffed out. These guitars are the best kept secret out there. You will not find a better set neck electric out there for the money.
