Performance
The Baby is a 3/4 size acoustic. I bought it to get reaquainted with the guitar after a hand injury sidelined me for about three years. I looked at a Martin Backpacker, then opted for this for an additional seventy bucks. The Baby is suprisingly sturdy and comes with a great gig bag at no extra cost. The fretboard is a bit narrow, as you might expect, and takes a little getting used to. With a solid spruce top, the instrument sounds amazingly good. It’s best for fingerpicking and light strumming. String bending is a breeze with the shorter scale. It’s a good instrument for kids and adults. I later bought a Taylor 414-RCE when my hand was strong again. However, I won’t sell the Baby: it’s too much fun to mess around with at home and traveling. If you want a small guitar, consider this one.

Sound Quality
The sound fits the size of the guitar. It’s bright, yet balanced. You don’t want to thrash it, however. Get a full sized guitar for that. I’ve never miked the guitar, so I can’t comment on that.

Construction

Very good construction, especially for the price. No fret problems, very smooth and solid. Watch the humidity in the winter, of course. You’ll have to tweak the truss rod (wrench included) once or twice a year. The instrument has had no warranty issues in almost three years.
