Performance
This is the DM-1 modified by Master Guitar Luthier Denny Zager. I don’t have a lot of experience with more expensive guitars but this one is very easy to play. The string science of Mr. Zager is such that the strings are very close to the fretboard but don’t cause any buzzing, so it makes it easy to play and easier on the fingers. I use the guitar for accompanying my singing which I do for my own enjoyment and also pick a few songs on it from time to time. It does live up to the advertising on Mr. Zager’s web page.

Sound Quality
The guitar has great sound. Better than any I’ve owned before, but like I said I’ve never owned any real expensive guitars (over $200.) It has fairly rich bass, good treble and high notes sound good.

Construction

The guitar is well built and solid. It was by built in Indonesia but evidently by someone who took pride in their work. The finish is smooth. There are no flaws in the wood or construction anywhere that I can see.
