Performance
The Seagull S6 was my first “new” guitar. I’ve had it almost 12 years now and it just gets better every year. The string action is fantastic! I’ve only played a few Taylors that I though had a better feel. The tapered headstock helps keep it in tune because it doesn’t twist the neck like the tradition headstock does. The Spruce top has held up very well. My friend has the Cedar top and it’s a bit soft and gashes up pretty easily — but it gives it that cool Willie Nelson effect.

The L.R. Baggs pickups are great. I’m sure the newer versions are even better. It’s a clean sound. Sometimes you have to cut back on the treble with the spruce top. Anytime I play my guitar on stage, I get a complement from someone about how good it sounds.

I bought the Seagull because it seemed so well-made. The first time I saw one, I thought they were custom made. It hasn’t let me down. For the money, I still believe it’s the best guitar you can buy.
