Large single cutaway acoustic/electric guitar. Mine is black, but it’s also available in a natural finish. Rosewood fretboard, nato neck, spruce top, mahogany back and sides. One reason I bought it was the flat neck — 14" radius. I have a Fernandes electric guitar and knew I would like the neck shape. Action is a little high for my taste, but it has been on every acoustic guitar I’ve tried. My other choices in this price range were bottom of the line Sigma/Martins or Ovations. This is the top of the Palisade series, and I liked it much better. The only guitars I tried that I liked better were Taylors, and they are in another price galaxy.

The acoustic sound of this guitar is superb, rich, ringing, and full. I am mostly an electric player, this is my second acoustic. I was most concerned about the unplugged tone. No complaints. It also sounds good plugged in. I use a Johnson J-Station, using one of the acoustic amp models when using it plugged in. It even reacts well to distortion and other effects. There is a built in active preamp, with a volume control and 3-band EQ. There is a battery check button (requires a 9-volt battery.)

A main reason I bought this guitar was that I was very happy with my Fernandes Nomad travel electric, which has survived numerous airline bins. Acoustics are by their nature more fragile, but I don’t anticipate any problems. I have about a dozen guitars, and I think this should be as reliable as any of them. The top, body and neck are bound, and the neck is a set neck. The finish is gorgeous. Lifetime limited warranty.
