Performance
The guitar works very well. The product is very smooth when played, the neck is thin so it is easy to play. It is a Metallica James Hetfield guitar. I love this guitar. The guitar is very light even though it looks big, it is the lightest guitar I have ever carried. The guitar is very exciting to have.

Sound Quality
It’s a Jaymz Hetfield from Metallica, style/sound. I customized my LTD Ex-250 by changing the Duncan designed to EMG pickups the 60 and 81 combo, the 60 gives AWESOME soloing, lead riffs, and harmonics, as the 81 delivers, raging crunchy metal sound and a high pitched Fender kind of sparkly clean sound (I used a lot of adjectives didn’t I) The Explorer has an awesome shape that no other company has, not dean, not epiphone, not gibson, not ibanez, and not Hamer. This ESP is a one of a kind guitar. It is hard to get your hands one of them because when I bought mine from Sam Ash, I had to order it and wait for my pickups to come in, it was a stressful 6 months but it all paid off. The Explorer has low action 22 jumbo frets where ever note sings out true. My description is with the EMG pickups not the stock ones. Also, this custom axe, is the best for Metallica, from Kill Them All with the mids juiced up to Justice — with no mids — and to present day.

The guitar has a very rich black color (on mine) and I use an ESP hardshell case which is so huge! For my other guitars I bought this spray for the frets called finger ease, it makes you slide up and down much easier. I have not used it once since I bought this ESP, there is no need to. Also, the gothic color of the fretboard gives the whole guitar a deep look.

Good performance, fast neck, 22 XJ necks, very enjoyable for playing Light blues. Bad for hard rock or metal. I don’t enjoy that kind of music.

Great Seymours. I play light blues or jazz all in clean. I hate distortion, I tried it in dist one time and this guitar sucked. But I use it in clean and it sounds beautiful, like my 1984 Buick Century.

Ya see, I paid $850 for a reason. It’s a custom LTD explorer. Comes with EMG 60 and 81 pickups, black binding, and at the 12th fret is Says “Metallica” because that’s all I play baby. OK, you want to know how this sounds... Well put on a Metallica album from And Justice For All to the present day and that’s EXACTLY how it sounds. This baby scrrreammms! I use an awesome amp, a line 6 Flextone! They are great. Also, I have a Boss effects processor. I also have other guitars: Ibanez GSA 20, 1965 Ibanez SG (I’m only 15. I’m not old.)
