A very easy to use guitar with more than its price is able to say. Rock it on hard and you’ll see that this is a fine instrument despite its low price. Smooth to play, nice speedy neck. I use to play more expensive guitars like Teles, Les Pauls, and Eggles, but this one sure has a little place in my heart.

It sounds smooth, the pups are great, especially if you like big fat distortion (I sure do.) It’s a little bit oversteering at higher levels, but the pure clean sound is warm and good.

Little flaws, tuning weakness, detuning. Otherwise it’s good.

I was looking for a “knock-around” guitar to leave on the stand in my den and pick up and play when the mood struck. I spent a half hour playing with this one before taking it home. I was astounded by its ease of play and tone, considering what it cost.

I play it through a Crate GFX30, occasionally with a Dano T-Bone distortion pedal. However, I play a lot of jazz, and this little axe has a very nice mellow tone on the neck pup that you wouldn’t believe coming out of something so low in price.

The frets could be finished a bit better, but given the overall sounds, I can forgive that. Great little blues axe AND jazz as well. It came with .009’s on it and they could be bent like crazy. I replace with .010’s for a little jazzier sound. Considering this isn’t much more than a slab of wood with pups installed, it’s a great buy.

This is a great guitar if you want the Les Paul sound at a rock bottom price. This guitar can easily be purchased with a low budget and performs great. It does everything you would expect it to.

I love the tone on this thing. It sounds really clean and you get that awesome Les Paul sound.

It’s put together pretty well. It’s not put together like a Gibson Les Paul but then again it also doesn’t cost over a 1000 dollars so you are getting what you pay for.

This is a cracking little guitar, it has everything you need to start you off or as a back up for your main playing machine. I also have a Mexican Strat and a Squire Tele but have had more fun with this little baby than every other I have owned. I put 10 gauge strings on it to give it a better tone and to stop a little buzzing, but it is still very playable and I never seem to put it down when practicing at home.

I have 2 amps a Fender Silver Face and a Squire 10. It’s not so hot through pure distortion pedals but through a Boss Blues Driver it gives a wonderful warm distorted sound that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stick up. But if you’re just starting out you’re better off playing clean anyway.

I give my guitars constant punishment and this one has held together well! The jack input keeps coming loose but it is easy to adjust and a little crack is showing its face on the neck plate, but nothing major or expensive. The tuning pegs are solid and are much better than the normal plastic ones you get on a normal Epiphone Les Paul or SG which normally crack! For the price, the guitar is a great bargain and I would never get rid of it!

This isn’t exactly the top of the line Les Paul, in fact it’s the rock bottom crappiest. However, for the price it’s not too bad. The guitar w/solid finishes are $170, but since I got a sunburst, it was an extra $40. The only real complaint that I have with this guitar is the fact that when plugged in through a pedal, it gets sort of a cheesy distorted sound (not that that’s nessesarily a bad thing if you play grunge metal like me.)

The pickups are standard factory 490 and 490T’s and for the price they’re pretty good. I’ve since upgraded them to a Dimarzio Super Distortion at the neck and a Dimarzio Blade at the bridge and this little axe rips!

I haven’t had too many problems with this guitar, except for a little loose weld that was fixed in about 5 minutes with a soldering iron and some copper wire. It’s seems pretty rugged like the rest of the ‘Paul family. It’s also heavy, living up to its standards. Overall I give this guitar a 4 for its performance, sound and construction. Keep in mind though, if this guitar cost $2000 bucks like its Gibson relatives, it would be getting 1s and 2s across the board.

This guitar is considered a “beginner guitar.” Not to me. This guitar can make any sound!!, With its OBL pickups, it’s a monster! Easy to play, nice fat neck.

These pickups are unstoppable, they can do anything! It sounds like a monster with distortion, but you get a little feedback — but that doesn’t bother me. I have a Peavey Bandit which is one of the best amps ever! Turn your OBLS on, and it has the cleanest sound ever!

I had no real problems with it when I got it, but the jack came loose, the switch knob grip came off, that’s about it. This is a good first and so on guitar, Get this.
