This guitar came setup beautifully! The action, frets, and pickups were all right on. In fact the only thing I had to do was a slight intonation change. The neck on this thing is one of the sleekest, fastest necks I’ve ever played, especially with the tung oil finish on it.

The pickups on this guitar are sweet, it has two humbuckers. The standard C22 in the neck, and the M22 S/D in the bridge which has more gain, but is not overly bright. The coil splitters also work great. This guitar produces a wide range of tones but I’d say it would be closest to a Fender with some much needed chunk. The notes in the upper register on higher gain settings simply sing!

Carvin probably has the best price/value relationship out there, but not just for their guitars but for everything they produce. The construction is flawless, and with the countless options available it’s like having your own signature series axe!
