I started out with a Squier Strat and since I got my BC Rich I won’t buy anything else. It has incredible sound even on a crappy amp. The strings never go out of tune.

Performance Rating: 10

The pickups are old but work better than some pickups that are brand new. The input jack dose not have problems and I have never had to replace a part.

Construction
No matter how many times I drop it, it will not scratch or dent. Not even the headstock. I think it is one of the most strongest guitars I’ve seen. I think it needs a higher rating.

It looks cool and plays well, probably a better tone for heavy players, and has an ace Floyd Rose, but the collared bar doesn’t stay in place unless it’s really tight. I also go for smaller Fender type frets, but they are good enough for any sort of playing unless you are really Fenderized. It’s a heavy guitar too, which I wasn’t used to at first. The other thing is if you play strapped up high, it may look a little geeky, and the balance when strapped up isn’t great, but any competent player can deal with this, just no opportunity for arms in the air choruses. There is room for improvement in the neck pickup staying screwed in, but a bit of DIY solved this. A cool guitar that looks beautiful.

This is a cool sound, a bit on the harsh side if you wanna be playing clean, so I turned the high range down on my effects. Probably better for loads of gain, apart from that, it’s cool.

Solid construction, but the headstock is a little “delicate.”
